The Squaw Valley Institute held a special welcome home event for the South Pole Push Expedition on January 31st. The Tahoe-based team, led by adaptive athlete Grant Korgan made history on January 17th with the very first team of adaptive athletes trekking to the South Pole.
Talus was a proud sponsor of The Push, and Grant and team had ColdAvenger masks to help make the trip happen. The journey was also captured on film by Tom Day who is a Warren Miller Cinematographer. Day gave attendees a sneak peek at some of the footage taken during their time in the South Pole. The production team is currently editing the content together to produce “The Push; A South Pole Adventure. The documentary film and TV series will be presented on NBC Universal Sports, and is scheduled for release in the fall of 2012.
