Where has the summer gone?
Sure, we work hard at Talus Outdoor Tech, but we also like to play. I try to get out on the water as much as possible to enjoy the quality fishing opportunities here in Montana. And as the days get shorter I realize I’m running out of those chances. So, last week I loaded up the hounds, headed north from Missoula to the Flathead Valley, picked up my work/play pals Shane and Hilary and hit the river. I’m not sure I should tell you exactly where we fished or how we did it, because it was just too good to give away. ….Aaaaahhh, I stink at keeping secrets. It was the North Fork of the Flathead on Glacier Park’s western boundary, and the cutthroat were hitting big bugs on top.

Fish On!
Hilary brought along some nice new-release flies from Montana Fly Company for us to try out. Thumbs up.

We sure got into some nice fish. Every time I get out there I feel so lucky to be able to work and live in such a beautiful place with so many outdoor opportunities. The pics from the day tell it all. Enjoy!

And stay tuned to the blog as it starts to get colder. It’s almost hunting season around here, so I’ll be out testing the new ColdAvenger Hunter. Also, we’ll soon be showing off the ColdAvenger Expedition for extreme cold-weather adventures.
Until then, fish on!
Stay out fishier,
