Where has the summer gone?
Sure, we work hard at Talus Outdoor Tech, but we also like to play. I try to get out on the water as much as possible to enjoy the quality fishing opportunities here in Montana. And as the days get shorter I realize I’m running out of those chances. So, last week I loaded up the hounds, headed north from Missoula to the Flathead Valley, picked up my work/play pals Shane and Hilary and hit the river. I’m not sure I should tell you exactly where we fished or how we did it, because it was just too good to give away. ….Aaaaahhh, I stink at keeping secrets. It was the North Fork of the Flathead on Glacier Park’s western boundary, and the cutthroat were hitting big bugs on top.

September is a critical turning point in my year— the end of a busy summer working on new product development and securing retail purchase orders occupy my brain space and my time! It is September, which means our big seasons of Fall and Winter are oh so near. So, I had to make a quick break for it, relax and catch up on some fishing, my suntan (no comments please) and take a mini-vacation to do some deep sea fishing in Hawaii. I was lucky enough to go with my pals at Waypoint Outdoor and Shane from my PR team. A total boys trip and I loved every second of it!
