We will be participating in a series of events in the Whitefish, Montana area to support the Wounded Warrior Project.
The fun kicks off tonight (Feb 1st) at Cafe Kandahar on Big Mountain at Whitefish Mountain Resort, with a delicious reception feast prepared by chef Andy Blanton. There might be a seat or two left, so call 406 862 6247 to check. Cost is $40 per person.
On February 2nd we will meet up with the Warriors at 9am at the Mt. Jackson Room at Whitefish Mountain Resort to supply ColdAvenger face masks to them, and then we’ll spend a day enjoying some turns on The Big.
Thursday night we will gather at the Iron Horse Clubhouse for dinner and to hear from to Kimberly Dozier, who was severely injured in a 2006 car bombing in Iraq as a correspondent for CBS News, and who wrote the best seller “Breathing the Fire, Fighting to Report and Survive the War in Iraq.” Kim’s website tells more of the story.
The fun continues on Friday, Feb 3rd, with another great day of skiing with the WWP, followed by a dinner party at the Bierstube. On Saturday at noon, come watch the Penguin Plunge and Whitefish Winter Carnival, and join the Warriors for another great afternoon of skiing, wrapped up at the Bulldog Saloon on Central Ave.
The visit ends Sunday with one more morning of skiing, followed by lunch at the Summit House.
Please join Talus and friends to welcome the WWP and have a great time on the slopes!
