Talus welcomes Bret Wydysh!

Thursday, July 19th, 2012

We’re stoked to announce that Bret Wydysh, BSRT, RRT has been added to our medical advisory board. Talus has made it a priority to promote and validate its benefits as a solution for asthma sufferers in cold temperatures and climates.

Welcome, Bret!

The ColdAvenger ventilator built into the face mask works to create a micro-climate of warm and more humid air, helping to prevent cold-induced adverse health effects, such as asthma.

Bret is an avid outdoor enthusiast, spending his spare time big-mountain skiing, rock climbing, mountain biking and running. He also volunteers for the Salt Lake Climbers Alliance and with the organization SheJumps, coaching under-privileged kids how to ski. Welcome, Bret!

Sweating the idea of a New Zealand pow day

Monday, July 9th, 2012

There’s no question that summer has hit full force in the states, and at Talus we can’t think about anything but climbing freezing faces on the coldest, harshest, steepest mountains in the world. Needless to say we’ve been spending our days daydreaming about next winter and fantasizing about being in New Zealand to enjoy their ski season that seems to be shaping up quite nicely. So we could live vicariously through the kiwis who are so fortunate to have snow right now, we decided to hook our readers up with a little 411 about the best resorts south of the border, in case any of you are lucky enough to go play in the white stuff any time soon. This website goes into the ins and outs of New Zealand resorts so when you go south to play, you play right.
