Northern Rockies Avalanche Safety Workshop

We are sponsoring the Northern Rockies Avalanche Safety Workshop in Whitefish, Montana. Join us this Saturday, October 1st, 2011 for a day of informational seminars by leading experts in the avalanche safety industry. This event will benefit any winter outdoor enthusiast. Whether you are a backcountry skier, snowboarder, snowmobiler, hiker, or any lover of wintertime adventures in the mountains, this workshop will provide you with necessary information about avalanche safety.

During the event there will be time to mingle with other backcountry enthusiasts and take a look at the vendor booths, one of which will be hosted by ColdAvenger! After the day is done the fun continues over at the Great Northern Brewing  Company where prizes will be raffled and good times will be had.  Registration is almost sold out.  Click here to sign up!

Sebastian Copeland: Adventurer

Figuratively speaking, new Talus ColdAvenger athlete Sebastian Copeland wears many hats as a daring and extreme outdoor adventurer, including thinking caps that aid him in protecting the planet.   An avid outdoors-man, Sebastian is also a decorated photographer, as well as an author, lecturer, and environmental activist.  Literally speaking, though, he wears one hat–the ColdAvenger Expedition Balaclava.

This fall, Copeland will embark on a 3,000 mile trek across Antarctica, unsupported. To keep up with Sebastian, visit his website and read his blog at http://sebastiancopelandadventures.com/ We’re happy to be along for the adventure!

What’s Up, La Nina?

(Letter found on John’s desk– unfortunately there’s no mailing address. Don’t tell him we published it.)

Lovely La Nina -

Hey, baby.  It was really great to see you last winter.  The NOAA said you might be thinking about coming back and getting crazy again. I just want to let you know that all of the fellas here at ColdAvenger really dig your chilly chill, fluffy lines and plunging temps. Last winter was unforgettable.  And I hope you do the same thing again this year so we can post lots of pictures of you on the internet.

And listen–I know you’re into me, but I also heard that you might be paying a visit to the fellas in the Pacific Northwest and even the Northern Plains again.  Is this true?  Well, I guess I can’t stop you from getting around the country.  But if you go, tell those guys how awesome ColdAvenger is–that we can protect their lungs and airway.  They’ve been hurt before, you know–you’ve caused some of the boys severe chronic cold weather injuries like asthma and the Khumbu Cough.  Apparently they don’t know that it’s safer and more fun with ColdAvenger.

Just get here soon.  And stay cool, baby.

Our New Office!

We’re finally moving into our new office off Higgins Avenue in the historic block. ColdAvenger has its very own display case in the corner.  Movin’ on up! We have a great view of the “M”, and we even decorated…just in case we get visitors. I guess this means we might have to upgrade some of our t-shirts to polo shirts. Well, maybe not.  If you’re ever in the area, please stop by and say, ” Hey, ColdAvenger dudes.” We’d love to show you the awesome view and our day-glow beer mugs.
