ColdAvenger Donates Cold Weather Gear to Clothes4Souls

Wednesday, August 31st, 2011

Talus Outdoor Technologies is donating more than 1,000 ColdAvengers to the Clothes4Souls nonprofit organization. This organization works hard to get donated clothing to those in need and I know that our product will get in the right hands. We are excited to be part of a group of retailers and manufacturers to help people out with some of our excess  inventory in the US and countries worldwide.

Clothes4Souls is a division of Soles4Souls, both wonderful efforts to “provide hope through the gift of clothing,” by coordinating worldwide donations of new gently-used clothing items to people who need them most. Wayne Elsey, Founder and CEO of Soles4Souls says, “We are so grateful to ColdAvenger for their generous donation.”

Seeing the Sights in Spitsbergen

Wednesday, August 24th, 2011

First of all, “Spitsbergen” is just a fun word to say. It’s also the name of a truly breathtaking Norwegian island along the Arctic Ocean. Boasting fjords, mountains and glaciers, Spitsbergen is home to reindeer, polar bears and a host of marine mammals.

Want to know more? Just ask polar explorer Doug Stoup. An avid user of the ColdAvenger face mask and founder of Ice Axe Expeditions, Stoup has been an expedition leader for adventurers, skiers and riders on dozens of trips to both the North and South Poles.

Most recently, Stoup and his team explored the wild and snowy sights of Spitsbergen. Here’s what they saw …

Gone Fishing!

Tuesday, August 16th, 2011

Just wanted to give you a quick summer update!

I was finally able to get out of the office and enjoy some Montana summer fun! After a quick few days meeting with buyers at the Outdoor Retailer show I flew back to the Flathead valley to join some old friends on a Wilderness fly fishing trip into the Great Bear Wilderness.

The fishing was absolutely epic!

And the beer was cold!

Gotta love summer in Montana.

Cheers to Summer in Montana!
